So you would like to speak to someone at HSBC Milton Keynes branch? Not exactly unreasonable especially if you bank there, right? WRONG and WRONG again! HSBC will and does go to extraordinary lengths to hide any and all telephone numbers for the branch let alone contact numbers for individuals like the branch manager. What are they afraid of? Providing customer service? Contrast this attitude to banks in the USA. They, too, have plenty of failings but from the largest (e.g. Citibank) to the smallest they pretty well all list names and numbers of real people in their branches. People who do answer their 'phone and return calls if you end up in voice mail. One used to be able to do that at HSBC. Twenty years ago I arranged a second mortgage by 'phone with HSBC. No more. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic. (And don't get me started on their call center!)
